Michael at the 1st annual “Art For Aids” benefit, Feb 9, 2002

Michael & Elizabeth Taylor attended the fund-raiser ‘Art For Aids’  A Tribute To Rock Hudson at the Laguna Art Museum in Laguna Beach .

It was the first time Painter Leon met Michael Jackson.

“Mr. Jackson.. Ms. Taylor.. would you please autograph my painting?” When Michael turned towards the crowd after helping Elizabeth Taylor out of the limousine, Leon, who had managed to get out in front of everyone else, called out to them. Michael glanced over and with a huge smile on his face, pointed out the painting to Elizabeth.  Michael motioned for the painting to be brought over to them, Elizabeth graciously stated that it would be an honor to autograph it. Signed with a silver paint pen, each autograph measures about 12 inches long.
