“One More Chance”, a Jackson 5 TV Special is aired on CBS. The group performs “Get It Together” & a medley of I Want You Back/ABC/I’ll Be There/Ben/Daddy’s Home/Never Can Say Goodbye/The Love You Save
- January 29:
The Jackson 5 arrived in Dakar for their first African tour. They hold a press conference with Senegalise radio.
During their stay, they received an award for the Organization of African Unity and they visited Goree Island. The Jackson5 filmed ‘Isomin Cross And Son’ which tells of a family crossing the in 1860 and the problems they encounter.
